About Me.

I’m Natalie Laber, an aspiring architect based in Chicago, IL. I am currently studying architecture at Illinois Institute of Technology, where I’ve been exploring sustainable and passive design solutions in my studio projects. I am especially drawn to creating stories and building relationships between users and innovative designs.

Beyond studying architecture, I have always had a passion for creativity. In high school, I was voted “most artistic” because of my paintings and sculptures. I have been very lucky to travel around the world and because of those opportunities, I was exposed to a multitude of architectural styles at an early age. Since then, I’ve always known the field of architecture would suit me best.

Additionally, I was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, home of the Kentucky Derby. Spanish is my first language; my mom's side of the family is from Mexico, and my dad’s is from Argentina. I come from a family of cat lovers, two of whom are named after famous tennis players.

This portfolio is a collection of my work so far.
